You will need to register your home kitchen with Chichester District Council (or your Local Authority) using the attached Registration of a Food Establishment form.  If you register your kitchen, you will not need to have your home kitchen inspected provided you have attended or are planning to attend a Food Hygiene training course.
NB If you have a current Food Hygiene Certificate (within the last 5 years) you must send a copy of your certificate to the Local Authority with the Local Authority's Registration of a Food Establishment form.
If you do not have a formal Food Hygiene Certificate or your certificate has expired you may continue to cook at home provided you are booked to attend Food Hygiene training.  Stonepillow has an ongoing Food Hygiene training programme.  Please get in touch with Head Office (tel: 01243 537934) for course bookings in 2009.
If your Food Hygiene Certificate has expired and you do not wish/are unable to attend a Basic Food Hygiene course you should contact Chichester District Council on 01243 534602 and ask to speak to the Senior Environmental Health Officer to arrange an inspection of your home kitchen.
